Partnership Philosophy

We work with partners to ensure the outcomes of our work with individuals and communities are sustainable in the long term. Microfinance clients in Tibet

Our partners are central to the success of Good Return. We depend on strong partnerships with microfinance institutions (MFIs) as well as the Australian community and our sponsors to ensure that Good Return continues to make a real difference in the lives of the poor.

Good Return delivers loans from the Australian public to low income people through MFIs based in their local community. Our relationship with local MFIs is based on mutual support - we count on those MFIs to manage the loans made to the borrower and they in turn rely on Good Return for loan capital, and training to staff and borrowers.

Good Return partners with MFIs that have a desire to increase and improve their services to the poor. All partners must fulfil a selection criteria and specific legal and financial requirements.

Good Return’s partnerships are designed to enrich human potential.

We want everyone that we work with to be enriched from the experience.

We actively engage the local Australian community, both corporate and the general public, in our development work. This two-way relationship allows our organisation and our community to better support the poor in the Asia Pacific region.

Good Return depends on support from the Australian community. We engage volunteers and receive pro bono and financial support from a range of corporate entities and individuals.

Our partnership with Good Return enables poor rural women in Timor Leste to lift themselves out of poverty. Importantly, the partnership focuses on building the strength of our organisation, but also the skills of the women
