Fernanda da Consceicao

Fernanda da Conceicao is a widow and mother of a much loved 19 year old son. They share a small house in Tibar, a village outside Dili, with her sister and nieces. Fernanda runs a small grocery store in the village, sells bread to the local primary school, and also firewood. They currently manage on a daily income of $5-10, but Fernanda is concerned that this may not be enough to pay for her son to attend university.

Fernanda borrowed USD300 earlier this year and successfuly repaid this loan. So she has asked Moris Rasik for another loan to buy more inventory for her small grocery store. She hopes the loan will help grow the business and her income, so that after meeting the needs of her extended family, she can support her son through university.
