Eka Devi Khawas

Eka Devi dreams of being able to build a more stable brick house. Eka is 41, lives with her husband, three daughters and a son in a rural village in the Jhapa district, in the easternmost part of Nepal.

As farmers, it has proved difficult to support the family and keep all the children in the government school. So she and her husband have decided to start rearing pigs.

She has requested the loan to buy the first piglets, which she plans to grow carefully and sell at a profit when they are grown.
