Armanda Fatima is 17 years old and lives with her parents and 2 of her siblings in Aileu. Her parents are gardeners who have a plantation on which they cultivate corn and cassava.
Unfortunately, the family are not always able to sell their produce. When this occurs, they are unable to adequately support themselves. Due to these problems, Armanda has decided to join Moris Rasik, the microfinance lender in her area, in order to secure a small loan. This money will allow her to open a small grocery store in her village.
She has already constructed the store and now needs a loan to buy produce to sell. Armanda hopes that this business will help her parents and siblings by providing much needed stability of income.
